Grant Programs

The Mary Chilton DAR Foundation currently awards four types of grants. Each type of grant follows different application and award procedures.

Dorothy Day Davenport Grant

The Dorothy Day Davenport Grant awards $50,000 to a Sioux Falls tax-exempt, nonprofit or civic organization. The application deadline is March 31 each year.

Regular Grants

Regular Grant awards range from $1,000 to $15,000. Applications are received and acted upon three times each year.

Mini-Grants

Mini-Grant awards range from $0 to $1,000. Applications are received and acted upon approximately every two months.

Schoolroom Grants

There will be no School Room Grants for the year 2021. The Foundation is re-working this grant type.
